Rob Horowitz

(Biographical Background)

Rob Horowitz is a strategic, communications and organizational consultant with a proven record of devising winning strategies and generating favorable media coverage. His recent clients include the Center for Rural Affairs, Enable America, Common Cause, Center for Civic Responsibility and Citizens’ for Rhode Island’s Future. As a consultant to the Center for Rural Affairs, Rob’s work on the national farm bill helped generate 20 times the media coverage as on previous farm bills, significantly contributing to major victories in Congress. During his work with Citizens’ for Rhode Island’s Future, Rob helped devise a statewide media and local organizing strategy that resulted in the defeat of the Governor’s proposed container port. For Common Cause, Rob designed and helped implement the over-all media and lobbying strategy that led to New Jersey adopting the strongest pay-to-play reform law in the country.

Rob has served as a general consultant, campaign manager, direct mail consultant and pollster on gubernatorial, congressional, county and local election campaigns. He is an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at University of Rhode Island. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received his Masters Degree from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
